If you’re looking for the perfect spot to capture your love story, Guy Fleming Trail is it! This trail is super accessible, and guess what? We had cell service the whole time, and it wasn’t crowded at all, even on a Friday. The location is stunning with a mix of lush greenery and gorgeous ocean views. You don’t need any special hiking shoes; flats will do just fine. Whether you want your engagement session to look whimsical and dressy or keep it casual, this trail has got you covered. Plus, the parking situation was a breeze. It was my first time there, but I am definitely going back. I am so happy that I got to capture Brittany & Cole’s fun and adventurous engagement session and this amazing location!

Brittany & Cole’s Adventurous Proposal Turned Engagement Session at Guy Fleming Trail

So, get this, Cole is actually my brother’s best friend and roommate. So crazy right? Just a quick timeline for you: my brother got engaged on June 14th, I got engaged on June 21st, and I captured Cole’s engagement on June 28th. Crazy, right? Cole and Brittany are the sweetest people ever! They met in college during a karaoke night at a bar. Cole was singing “Best I Ever Had” by Drake, and Brittany was smitten from the get-go. Talk about love at first sight. On the day of the shoot, Cole sent me his location so I could track him. I noticed he parked at the bottom of a very steep hill and was planning to have Brittany hike up. I quickly texted him, “There’s parking at the top!” He knew that, of course, because he had done the trail that same morning, but nerves got the best of him, and he forgot.

Brittany still didn’t suspect a thing when they drove to the top. When they got to the spot, I started capturing their moments, and all I could hear was Brittany saying, “OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!” After the big moment, I took some beautiful portraits of the newly engaged couple. They were so thoughtful; they even gave me a gift the next day! It was a magnet photo of my fiancé and me from our proposal. How sweet is that? Cole and Brittany were absolutely perfect, and their engagement session at Guy Fleming Trail was nothing short of magical.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Catrease for our surprise engagement photo shoot and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive to every detail, ensuring everything went smoothly and perfectly captured our special moment!

She arrived early at the location to make sure the area was clear and to find the best spots for our photos (and she came all the way down to SD!). Her ability to blend in with the crowd was impressive, making the surprise even more special. She even took the time to ask about my now fiancé’s outfits in advance, which helped her spot us right away.

As this was our first photo shoot, we were a bit nervous, but Catrease made us feel so comfortable. She walked us through every pose and made us feel so confident!! Even after the photo shoot my fiancé and I could not stop talking about how kind she was and how effortless she made the photo shoot!

We were also amazed by the quick turnaround time for receiving our photos. Accessing the photos was seamless and easy, and we were thrilled with how beautifully they turned out. Every photo perfectly captured our emotions and how magical that day was.

Catrease, thank you will never be enough for how much you made our engagement so memorable. You have the most kind, genuine and encouraging personality. We are so beyond honored to have had you capture this special life moment!
